I’m an interdisciplinary environmental scientist (social science, plus natural & humanities) with 16 years of experience in academia and in the science-policy interface. My work focuses on ‘Urban Resilience & Climate Change Adaptation under Uncertainty’ (strategies & options, framing & narratives, science-policy-society interfaces, visualisation & communication). Current projects deal with urban, community, regional, and Arctic resilience & change. I’m also interested in broader aspects of urban studies & futures, climate risk management, and governance under uncertainty.

I'm affiliated as a Senior Researcher with the Centre for the Study of the Sciences and the Humanities, University of Bergen (Norway), and with the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development, Utrecht University (The Netherlands), for two days/week each.
