Using a combination of fully kinetic particle-in-cell simulations and spacecraft observations with Cluster and the Magnetospheric MultiScale mission, my research focuses on the kinetic physics of thin boundaries and magnetic reconnection, plasma heating and acceleration, and wave-particle interaction in space plasma.
