Currently I am working on land surface data assimilation of soil moisture from the ESA 
SMOS (Soil Moisture and Ocean Salinity) and NASA Soil Moisture Active Passive satellites.  A part of this work is to develop and test the Ensemble Kalman Filter and
Particle Filter in a land surface model over northern latitudes.

I am interested in state-of-the-art data assimilation methods e.g., Ensemble Kalman filters (EnKF) and Particle Filters (PF), and their applicationsn geosciences.
