My research sits at the intersection of traditional manuscript studies and new digital humanities techniques. I am currently working on a project entitled "Mapping Book and Manuscript Exchange Around Syon Abbey, 1415-1539" which uses digital network mapping techniques to investigate the movement of books in 15th century England.

In addition to this project, I am interested in:

  • Palaeography and codicology
  • Digital fragmentology
  • Rare book librarianship, pedagogy, and practice
  • Book History, broadly defined
  • Letterpress printing
  • 15th century English political history
  • IIIF and other digital manuscript study tools

I teach sections of ENG125: Introduction to British Literature and Culture.
