Lena Weltrich is a PhD candidate at the Department of Comparative Politics at the University of Bergen. Her research interests are anchored in gender equality in democratic processes, the institutionalization of radical right parties in modern democratic systems and the effects of political behaviour on voters. Her former research had a focus on Gender quotas in parliamentary parties and gender dependent vote choice. In her PhD project, Lena investigates different aspects of intra-party instability on electoral support. Her work will support the project “INSTAPARTY” – Party Instability in Parliaments” – led by associate professor Raimondas Ibenskas and funded by the Norwegian Research Council.
