Marine Natural Product Chemistry
I am MSCA-SEAS Postdoc Research Fellow in Monica Jordheim’s group of Bioresources and Pharmaceutical Chemistry (https://www.uib.no/en/persons/Monica.Jordheim#uib-tabs-research). My project (2023-2026) will focus on the green extraction of polyphenols and natural products from brown seaweeds. Characterization of natural products by NMR, HPLC, and MS methods. Comparison with traditional methods, seasonal variation, and optimization of new processes.
The MSCA-SEAS project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie grant agreement No 101034309. The MSCA-SEAS project aims to train future research leaders to conserve and sustain the ocean, SEAS, and marine resources. It is a group of 37 interdisciplinary postdoctoral research fellows at the University of Bergen, Bergen, Norway. The aim is to deliver high-quality research with a high impact on marine sustainability. Our goals are healthy marine ecosystems and equitable livelihoods (https://seas.w.uib.no/seas/).
