I study how teachers of English in upper secondary schools approach controversial topics. I am interested in controversial and polarizing discourses, what we can learn from disagreeing, and how we approach disagreement, particularly in educational settings such as language learning.
I am also interested in science communication and dissemination of research on social media, in the media and through popular-scientific events. I have previously worked as a science communicator.
I mainly teach courses in English didactics, both on the 200 and 300 level.
Previously I have taught introduction to English studies, academic writing, and source referencing.
