I am a Postdoctoral Researcher working with Hallvard Moe on the PREPARE project. I have completed my PhD at the University of Southampton, which explored the use of Twitter by microcelebrity accounts dissenting against the authoritarian leaning Turkish government during the 2018 Turkish Elections. In the past, I have collaborated with academics and NGOs on several research projects that explored personalisation, health communication and community building on a variety of social media platforms. I have been teaching social media and digital research methods at various universities since 2015 and have designed training sessions for researchers on how to use tools to analyse and scrape data. I have also been serving as the elected Graduate Student Representative for the Association of Internet Researchers since 2021.
