Pratik Khanal is a PhD research fellow at Bergen Centre for Ethics and Priority Setting (BCEPS) | University of Bergen (uib.no). He holds MPH Degree from Tribhuvan University, Institute of Medicine, Nepal. His research interests are primarily in the areas of health system, health financing, and non-communicable diseases. Before joining University of Bergen, Pratik worked as a Research Specialist for Population Services International (PSI) Nepal Office (2021-2022), Project Manager for KOICA National Health Insurance Support Project (2018-2020) and Research Associate at Ethics, M&E Section at Nepal Health Research Council (2016-2017). Pratik is also an executive Central Member of Nepal Public Health Association (2022-2023).

During his PhD, Pratik will be working at the intersection of non-communicable diseases, health economics, and health system with focus in Nepal. His focus of study is on cost-effectiveness analysis and equity impact of non-communicable disease interventions.
