Experiences of immigrant parents in Norway: negotiating parenting practices, values and expectations (2017-2021)

This is a exploratory PhD project that aims to seek knowledge about the experiences that Southern European parents have when they raise their children in Norway. Data were collected through semi-structured narrative interviews and Focus Group Discussions. The main focus was on parents' navigations through parenting practices, ideals, values and expectations when they encounter social actors at family, institutional and community levels both in Norway and their countries of origin.
