Rune Nilsen was Director of Centre for international health (CIH), University of Bergen and Professor in International Health since 1988, and Associate professor in pathology since 1974, University of Bergen, Gades Institute Previous Deputy Rector of University of Bergen, Head of the NUFU programme boards, and long experience in international higher learning, research policy and governance. Particular experience in doctoral training policies and Open Access publication policies. Main academic background in immunology and pathology of tuberculosis and tobacco and cancer.
