Valeria leads a project in collaboration with Bergen Municipality: PM+ evidence-based intervention for problem management among refugees (PEIL-FORSK). Other research interests includes:  

  • The trauma of torture and the rehabilitation of torture survivors 
  • Understanding helpful psychological help to displaced populations 
  • Psychological resilience and mental health among refugees settled in Norway 
  • Cultural differences in conceptualizations of mental health and their treatment
