Digital Day for employees
All UiB employees are invited to participate in Digital Day in Grieghallen on October 4th. There, UiB colleagues will present ongoing digitalisation projects, tools and methods, and future digital solutions.

Main content
Digital day also aims to inform, inspire and motivate all employees and give them the opportunity to develop their digital knowledge and skills together.
The program consists of:
- 20 stands from UiB groups presenting their digitalisation work
- Talks from the stage (some in English)
- UiB projects displayed on screens
- Try out tools and programs
- Mingle with colleagues

Transport
In addition to the regular Campus bus schedule, extra bus service will be provided between The Faculty of Medicine and Grieghallen.
The bus departs from Armauer Hansens Hus, Haukelandsveien 28, at 09.00 and 11.00, and returns from Grieghallen at 11.00 and 13.30.
Activities - ground floor
BRITA (IT department) is moving the entire Help desk to Grieghallen. You will be able to view and test various services like Skype for Business, Office 365, mprint, OneNote, desktop.uib.no and more.
E-learning course: UiB has launched the first e-learning courses for employees; you can test different courses at the workstations on the first floor.
Sikresiden is a mobile-adapted website that gives you training in security themes and will help with what to do in emergencies. Sikresiden is particularly adapted to students and employees. Come and try the website on your mobile.
The virtual dental chair - Department of Clinical Dentistry
The virtual dental chair is a training system, where the goal is for the students to develop their practical skills in dentistry.

Collection and dissemination of large amounts of data - Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences
ALICE (A Large Ion Collider Experiment) one of the largest experiments in the world devoted to research in the physics of matter at an infinitely small scale.
ASIM (The Atmosphere Space Interactions Monitor) is an observatory, or instrument suite, to be mounted on an external platform of Columbus laboratory on the International Space Station (ISS) in 2018.
GLIDERE retrieves research data from the ocean depths.
Drones and model aircraft collect measurement data in the atmosphere.
Målebøyen Gabriel collects data from Store Lungegårdsvann.
ICOS (Integrated Carbon Observation System) is a European monitoring network for greenhouse gas emissions in the atmosphere, on land and in the ocean. Norway contributes with two atmospheric stations, one touristic station and four stations for marine observations, and the Ocean Thematic Centre (OTC), where the marine data from the European observational stations will be analyzed, perform quality control and develop a consistent measurement system.
Bjerknes Climate Data Centre (BCDC) will provide a single access point for climate data worldwide, while at the same time it will ensure the visibility and accessibility of Bjerknes Data by embedding them in the same network.
Norwegian Citizens Panel and Citizens Lab - Faculty of Social Sciences
DIGSSCORE operates the Norwegian Citizens Panel and the Citizens Lab.
Norsk medborgerpanel (Norwegian Citizen Panel) is a web-based survey of Norwegians’ opinions toward important societal matters.
Medborgerlaben (Citizens Lab) is a research laboratory with 32 computers used by several fields at UiB and other institutions. The goal is to conduct experiments, which is important for understanding human behavior and attitudes in different situations
Dragefjellet Learning and Communication Center - Faculty of Law

Digital Language and Literature Resources - Faculty of Humanities
ASK is an electronic, searchable text corpus for Norwegian as second language where language data and personal data are linked.
LaMoRe: LaMoRe is a scientific research group at the University of Bergen. Its mission is to do research on computational language models and digital language resources.
Holberg: This is the first digital critical edition of Holberg’s collected writings. The texts are fully searchable and equipped with commentaries, introductions, critical apparatus, and facsimiles.

Folkeminne: SANKA is an archive containing jokes, puzzles, children's songs, fairy tales, anniversaries, day-to-day documentation and much more. The oldest document in the archive is from the 16th century. Check out our Facebook page.

Estate and facilities management division presents Central Operational Control. This monitors, controls and regulates the technical facilities in our buildings, typically heat, ventilation, lights, alarms, energy etc.
Self-employed financial services
On our stand we will be presenting services such as travel bill, reimbursement of expenses and time registration, that will be available to you on mobile. You can also see our new developed financial reporting tool Tableau Reporting for project managers and managers. We can now also offer eLearning courses with certification to some of our economics modules.
