Tools for ETEC vaccine development

Enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC) are one of the most  important causes of diarrhea in young children in low and middle-income countries (LMIC) as well as in travelers to these countries. Our research focuses on tools for development of an ST-based vaccine candidate and understanding human immune responses against ETEC. Low-cost point-of care cryptosporidiosis test in children in Ethiopia (CRYPTO-POC)

The primary objective of this study is to estimate the accuracy and operational performance of simple microscopy of auramine stained stool samples for diagnosis of Cryptosporidium infection. More information on the project can be found by following this link.
