Two colleagues have recently published popular science articles in Aftenposten and both of them have imaging as their main approach in their science.
MIC is happy to announce the seminar "Super Resolution Microscopy - Principles and Applications", 9th of September 2014, 13:00-14:00 (Aud4, BBB).
Arne Duinker at The National Institute of Nutrition and Seafood Research (NIFES) used the small animal MR-machine to study fat distribution in mackerel.
We are happy to announce a basic course/workshop in imaging and analysis of subcellular structures 7th to 9th of April 2014. Guest speakers are Werner Koopman and Peter Willems from Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre, The Netherlands. The course is supporteed by MedIm.
MIC is happy to announce the 10th course in confocal microscopy 4th -7th of March 2014. Registration is now open and we encourage you to register as soon as possible as it tends to fill up quickly, deadline 10th of February. Max 18 participants.
The yearly Small Animal MRI course is now open for registration. It takes place 28th to 30th of October 2013 and you are encouraged to register as soon as possible as it is restricted to max 12 attendants.
30th of September and 1st of October MIC would like to invite people to an open day at the facility where all the available technologies are presented with demos. People can sign up to attend demos and on systems of interest and even bring own samples to test.
The small animal PET/CT facility is up and running and we welcome users to contact the facility to plan and perform experiments.
MIC is happy to report that the upgrade of the preclinical MRI system is now complete and the system has passed all the acceptance tests.
The NorMIC Oslo node consisting of the IMBV (IBV) Imaging facility and OUS Confocal Core Facility will arrange a two-day practical user course in live cell imaging and super-resolution microscopy. The Molecular Imaging Center (MIC) is this year hosts the fifth national NorMIC microscopy symposium to be held in Bergen on October 25th – 26th 2012. In addition to international and national speakers, suppliers will install whole confocal microscopes for the participants to bring their own samples.
We are happy to announce that Small Animal Ultrasound is now made available for scientits that require this technology in their projects.
