The UiB network for games research is a interdisciplinary network at UiB for research on video games and video game play.

The network includes researchers from the Depatment of Information Science and Media Studies, the Department of Lingustics, Literary and Aesthetic Studies, the Department of Philosopy and the Department of Social Psychology. In addition, the network has included students from social anthropology, cultural studies, and sociology.

The network offers a meeting place for researchers and master students at UiB who want an academic forum for presenting and discussing their research on videogames, play, and the role of videogames in society.

The network organizes 2-3 meetings and presentations every term.

If you are a UiB affiliated master student or researcher and want to be part of our network, please contact professor Kristine Jørgensen
