The Bergen Pharmacology & Pharmacy Research Group includes members with a common interest in drugs. The research areas include topics in basic, clinical and analytical pharmacology/chemistry together with pharmacognosy, social and clinical pharmacy. Members are allocated to three sections based on their research areas. A parent goal for all the members is to improve pharmacotherapy.

The group is located at the 9th floor of the Laboratory Building, Haukeland Campus. We are affiliated to the University of Bergen and Haukeland University Hospital.

We are an interdisciplinary research group consisting of engineers, chemists, physicians, and pharmacists. The group includes members who develop analyses with highly sensitive liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LCMSMS)-technology to quantify drugs and clinically relevant biomarkers. The group also includes members with expertise in drug information, clinical pharmacology, clinical pharmacy and drug utilization in clinical settings. The members collaborate with several research groups and researchers.
