Call for papers on "Well performing public sector organizations: Governance capacity and legitimacy" for the Conference of the European Group of Public Administration (EGPA) that will be held 26-28 August 2015 in Toulouse, France. Deadline for abstracts proposals is April 15 2015.

The research project GOVCAP - "Organizing for Societal Security and Crisis Management: Building Governance Capacity and Legitimacy" - is comparing the organization of internal security and crisis management in Norway and five other European countries.
Professor Per Lægreid has written an article on "The Many Faces of Accountability: Comparing Reforms in Welfare, Hospitals and Migration" together with Haldor Byrkjeflot and Tom Christensen. The article has been published in "Scandinavian Political Studies", Vol. 37, Issue 2.
In June 2013, Grete Rusten and Kerstin Potthoff from the Department of Geography and Linda Sangolt from the Department of Administration and Organization Theory, published a book on Norwegian nature, industry and society. It has now been reviewed in the Norwegian Journal of Geography.
The book is edited by Per Lægreid with the Department of Administration and Organization Theory and Tom Christensen with the University of Oslo. Several of the authors contributing in the book are amongst the internationally leading scholars within the field. Contributors from the Department of Adminsitration and Organization Theory are Paul G. Roness, Ivar Bleiklie and Haldor Byrkjeflot.

Linda Sangolt with the Department of Administration and Organization Theory is the editor of the new book "Between Enlightenment and Disaster - Dimensions of the political Use of Knowledge". The book is number 19 in the series "Philosophy and Politics" published at the Peter Lang Publishing Group.

The article "How to assess administrative reform? Investigating the adoption and preliminary impacts of the Norwegian welfare administration reform", where Anne Lise Fimreite and Per Lægreid are co-writers, is published in the Journal of Public Administration.

"Coordinating "Wicked issues": The country Governor's Role in Norwegian Internal Security" is part of the research project «Multi-level governance in the tension between functional and territorial specialization». The paper examines the Norwegian County Governor’s role in internal security and civil protection, based on survey data from 2008.
