The Energy Research Group has a primary goal of shaping forthcoming strategies and eco-friendly solutions to address the evolving technical hurdles and technological complexities in ocean-based energy harnessing, particularly offshore wind. Our focus encompasses interdisciplinary investigations into atmosphere-wave-ocean-structure interactions, the multiscale modeling of environmental variations and offshore energy systems, and the advancement of experimental capabilities alongside sophisticated data analysis tools. Additionally, the group is dedicated to cultivating fresh insights and research skills concerning the environmental repercussions of offshore wind energy.
In fostering our mission, the energy group actively nurtures and expands collaborations with diverse national and international institutions, universities, industries, and pertinent policy and regulatory entities.
