Diagnostic tests

Diagnostic tests of English for pupils in grades 3 and 11.

Main content

The diagnostic tests help schools and teachers to identify pupils that may need extra help during the first years at school. There are a range of compulsory and voluntary diagnostic tests in reading, mathematics, English and computer skills. The tests are made for pupils from the first to the fourth grade.

Voluntary, digital diagnostic tests of English for third grade pupils have been developed and maintained by the language test team at the Institute for Foreign Languages at UiB.

The tests are digital and measure listening and reading in English. A teachers' guide has been developed, which gives advice about how the tests can be used and how to follow up the results with pupils.
