Scientific leadership
A scientific director and committe is appointed every year.
2021: Scientific Director for BSRS 2021 is Associate Professor Katja Enberg, Department of Biological Sciences (BIO), UiB.
Before joining UiB in 2018 she worked for eight years at the Institute of Marine Research, the last four as the head of the Research and Advice Programme Norwegian Sea coordinating all research and advice related to Norwegian Sea.
Enberg teaches SDG214; UN Sustainable Develop Goal 14: Life Below Water (a course she designed) and BIO325; Ocean Science, in which she teaches fisheries ecology and is responsible for the students' cruise on the North Sea with one of the University's research vessels.
Katja Enberg is a founding member of the Young academy of Norway, an interdisciplinary organization for young researchers dedicated to research policy and dissemination.
