Qualitative methods II: analysing the data

Course on how to analyse qualitative data, 29–30 November 2010.

Main content

Following a course on collecting qualitative data in spring 2009 we will now offer a course on how to analyse such data. The course will consist of lectures on qualitative methods by experienced researchers and an opportunity to discuss methodological challenges of your own PhD theses.

Place: Room 301, HF-building

Time: Monday 29 and Tuesday 30 November

Lecturers: Gisle Andersen, NHH and Marco Gargiulo, IF/UiB

Organised by the PhD research school in linguistics and philology at the University of Bergen. The participants are asked to submit a text (approximately 1000 words) outlining methodological challenges related to their PhD projects. During the course each participant will be given 5 minutes to present these challenges, and then they will be discussed in the group. Please sign up by sending an e-mail and the text to Martin Paulsen no later than 29 October, but be aware that we can only take a limited number of participants, and the first to sign up will be given priority.
