The purpose of NutriNOR
Main content
NutriNOR is a national research school in nutrition, hosted by the University of Bergen and funded by the Research Council of Norway. It is open to all PhD students in the field of nutrition and food science in Norway, and collaborates with research schools in Germany and the Netherlands.
The research school is led by Professor Jutta Dierkes from the University of Bergen. It is supported by a scientific coordinator, administrative resources at the University of Bergen, and a steering board which consists of three academic members, three members representing professional partners, and one PhD representative.
The main aim of NutriNOR is to support PhD students in the field and capacity building in nutrition science. Further, we want to improve the chances of NutriNOR candidates on the job market. Therefore, NutriNOR has both an academic pillar and a professional pillar. Many activities can be counted to both pillars.
