Booking

Flight tickets

Purchasing flight tickets in Norway is in general more expensive than buying them from most countries abroad. We therefore encourage our guests to book their own flight tickets and claim the cost on travel expenses. Please ask if you find this arrangement difficult, and we will look for other options.

Hotels

UiB has a variety of discount deals with a wide range of hotels in Bergen. Our purchaser will be happy to assist you in finding the best option for you. Please contact Vibeke.Enaes@uib.no for help and guidance, and she will make the necessary reservations. The expenditures will be invoiced SapienCE directly.

UiB guest flats

For guests on longer visits (one month or more) a university flat may be a good option. The university owns a small collection of self-catered studio flats and two-roomed flats. Please note that these flats are very popular and often fully booked months in advance. However, if you are able to contact us early, we will do our best to try to book one of them for you.

Reimbursements

All SapienCE guests, and non-UiB employees, are required to submit a travel reimbursement form. The form can be downloaded as excel form here [Link]. Please attach a copy of all your receipts. In addition, we need a copy of your passport and relevant bank information (BIC/IBAN/Swift and bank account number). Please send the collated PDF document to mari.knudsen@uib.no and stale.berglund@uib.no

If you have any further question about reimbursement, please contact Mari.Knudsen@uib.no
