User involvement in the development of municipal health services for people with dementia.

In the MEDVIRK-DEM research project, people with dementia and their family caregivers are involved in shaping the future health services for people with dementia in Vaksdal municipality, Norway. Through interviews and participation in a reference group, their opinions, wishes and needs are taken into account in designing the municipality's new dementia resource center.
The municipality of Vaksdal initiated the project. They hope user involvement will ensure good future health and care services.
The purpose of MEDVIRK-DEM is to:
1. Implement user involvement in the development of municipal health services for people with dementia and their family caregivers
