Main content

A possible strike would have had consequences for examinations at the University of Bergen.

Examinations

If there is a strike, written school exams will be cancelled. You will be informed in advance if your written school exam has been cancelled. A strike may also postpone the deadline for submitting grades.

Admissions

A strike may cause a delay in our administrative procedures concerning admissions. Our applicants may experience a limited capacity from the UiB staff to answer questions regarding their applications. This applies for applicants for both masters- and undergraduate degree programmes.

Student scheduling

The Publication of plans and schedules for teaching and exams 1st of June for the autumn 2019 semester, may be delayed if there is a strike. The Literature kiosk will not be updated and there will be no system support for users during a strike.

Teaching and lectures

With a few exceptions, teaching and lectures will not be affected much by a strike. Please contact the information center at your faculty for more information.

Studies abroad

A strike may cause a delay in administrative procedures like admission letters for exchange students coming to UiB from abroad, as well as Norwegian exchange students, especially the ones travelling to institutions outside of Europe.

University of Bergen Library

If there is a strike, this will affect the University of Bergen Library since the libraries may be completely or partially closed.
