Stay tuned for UiB's autumn semester Welcome Programme 2024. The programme will introduce you to different aspects of being a student in Bergen.
Joining the programme is an excellent opportunity to meet other international students, as well as ask questions to UiB staff members. Attendance is not mandatory, but we highly encourage all new international students to participate.
Welcome and Introduction
We will hold an introduction meeting for new international students in the auditorium Egget at the Student Centre. Address: Parkveien 1. We have devided you into three groups depending on which faculty you will be studying at.

In addition to receiving practical information, you will meet a Norwegian student, learn more about the Student Welfare organisation Sammen and how to hike safely in the Norwegian nature. The programme will last approximately 2 hours.

All faculty meetings will be held on Friday, 9 August. The time will vary depending on which faculty you belong to. We will link to the faculty page below as soon as the details are updated.

Welcome Week
On Monday, 12 August at 10 am we celebrate the beginning of a new academic year for all new and established students and staff. The Welcome Cermony will take place on campus at Muséplass. More details will follow.
There will also be different activities for new students during the welcome week Monday, 12 August to Friday, 16. August. You will receive detailed information directly from your faculty before the semster starts.
