Through the academic year there are many deadlines and important dates to keep in mind.

Semester (start/end)
An academic year is a total of 40 weeks. The autumn semester last 19 weeks, starting in week 33 and ending in week 51. Lectures and seminars usually start in week 33.
The spring semester lasts 21 weeks, starting in week 2 and ending in week 24. Lectures and seminars usually start in week 3.
Exams
During the spring semester there are normally two examination periods, beginning of March and from mid May until mid June.
In the autumn semester the examination periods are usually the first week of October and from mid November until mid December.

Registration
StudentWeb opens for registration from week 25 for the autumn semester and from week 50 for the spring semester. The deadline for registration in the autumn semester is 1 September and in the spring semester 1 February.
