Writing a systematic review has become quite popular within medicine and health sciences. There are specific methodical requirements for these kinds of summaries.

The course “Introduction to systematic reviews in medicine and health sciences” covers the following topics:

  • What is a Systematic Review
  • Types of reviews
  • Overview about relevant databases for finding systematic reviews
  • Preliminary searches
  • Writing a protocol
  • Documentation of search strategies
  • Tools for data management and quality appraisal
  • Reporting standards
  • The role of the library

The course language is English unless all participants speak Norwegian. Minimum 7 participants, maximum 24 (at the Medical Library). Digital participation via Zoom is possible. The Zoom-link for the course will be sent in advance to registered participants.
