FULLY BOOKED Poster workshop for PhDs and Post Docs

Research posters should summarize information of a research project concisely and attractively to help generate a discussion on the theme. But how do you make a good poster?

Arjun Ahluwalia is a graphic designer from the communications department at UiB. He knows a lot about what works when it comes to visual expressions.

Karin Pittman is a professor at the Department of Biological Sciences (BIO) and has been massively involved in scientific communication courses at her department. She has experience, practice, a prize or two, and lots of opinions of what makes a good science poster.

Together, Karin and Arjun will guide you through this poster workshop.

Program:

12:15 - 12:30  Introduction
12:30 - 13:00  Form and function
13:30 - 14:00  Group work: The message
14:00 - 14:30  Break
14:30 - 15:00  Form: what visuals do we have?
15:00 - 16:00  Individual work, group work and presentations

Participants must bring their own laptop.
They must also have an idea for a poster, or bring a poster from a previous conference to work on.
