We will further discuss and provide input on:

  • how to decide which content may be suitable for such presentations?
  • how to repurpose face-to-face time with students beyond delivering content that has already been given in the videos?
  • how to examine the extent to which students use the videos and the usage improve learning outcomes?

The course is an opportunity for employees to gain experience with making videos and discuss and share experiences with colleagues. It is assumed that participants have courses during the spring semester in 2015 and will use the periods between training days to try out video use.

Time: 2 days from 9-15: Monday 15. February, Monday 14. March and 2 days from 9-12 Monday 11. April, Monday 9. May.

Place: Vilvite senteret, Thormøhlensgate 51.

Course Leaders: Robert Gray, institutt for pedagogikk robert.gray@uib.no and Anders Myren, IT avdelingen anders.myren@adm.uib.no

The course can be included as an optional module in the Development Program in University Pedagogy (the educational training of new employees at UiB who need "teaching competence") equivalent to 5 ECTS.

Questions may be directed to the course leaders.

We do note that this is not a "drop-in" courses. We assume that participants are on all 3 days, whole days.
