A botanical Christmas at Milde

The botany of Christmas - exhibition at the Arboretum 2021

Join an atmospheric advent exhibition in the Arboretum with traditional spices, nuts, and fruits, and of course the Christmas decorations: beautiful flowers, Christmas trees, mistletoe, and holly.

Main content

The exhibition is on display in the Arboretum at Milde, both inside Blondehuset and in the garden outside. Here you can see and not least smell plants and spices that belong to Christmas. We put the spotlight on the classic Christmas plants, what they look like and where they come from. The exhibition is divided into four main themes:

  • A taste of Christmas - in which we consider the Christmas spices used in various pastries
  • Nuts and fruits - in which we discuss Christmas goodies and their use
  • Christmas flowers - with a focus on the plants we use as decoratation
  • Winter green - in which we explore traditions of decorating both indoors and outdoors

The exhibition is open to everyone, at Blondehuset from 28th of November to 20th of December.

Open on weekdays: 10:00 - 15:00, Saturday and Sunday 12:00 - 16:00.

At the weekend, mulled wine is served.
