02.11.2018 ble det avholdt et symposium ved Det psykologiske fakultet, Lauritz Meltzers hus, Fosswinkelsgt. 6. Symposiet bygget på satsningen mellom UiB og japanske helseforskere ved Tohoku University og Tokyo Metropolitan Institute of Gerontology.
