This is a CIPR project in collaboration with the Centre of Mathematics for Application at the University of Oslo and CGGVeritas; sponsored by Statoil, Total, Cevron and Rocksource.

  • Correlations between the effective permeability and seismic anisotropy of fractured reservoirs. This project involves one PhD student supervised by Morten Jakobsen and Bent Ole Ruud.
  • Seismic history matching in fractured reservoirs using consistent stiffness-permeability models. This project involves one PhD student supervised by Morten Jakobsen and Sigurd Aanonsen (Statoil/CIPR).
  • Improved characterization of fault facies models by joint inversion of seismic and production data. This project involves one master student supervised by Morten Jakobsen and Sigurd Aanonsen (Statoil/CIPR).
  • Inversion of controlled source electromagnetic data using a T-matrix approach from multiple scattering theory. This project involves one master student supervised by Morten Jakobsen and Trond Mannseth (CIPR).
  • Inversion of 4D seismic data  from the Oseberg field with respect to saturation and pressure changes. This is a master project supervised by Morten Jakobsen and Einar Mæland.
