Both coding theory and cryptography have been already proven to be essential in our information age.While at first sight they may seem to achieve irrelevant goals, where coding theory is intended for error-free communication and cryptography is primarily for confidential and authenticated communication, the two subjects actually share much more than that. This talk will reveal part of their relation and introduce some applications of coding theory in cryptography.
