The lecture:

In his lecture, Vilhelm Bohr will discuss the family history of Niels Bohr and how his personal connections and his career development played critical roles in how he became the leading physicist in the early part of the last century. He also played an important role in developments in the second world war, and his interactions with leading politicians and physicists will e discussed. After the war, Bohr focused on his ideas about an open world and made many humanitarian contributions.

The lecture will not discuss the physics as such, but will address the personality of Niels Bohr and how he was able to make so many contributions, and how this insight might help us in science in the future.
