Hovedinnhold

This project is fully funded by VISTA - a basic research program funded by Statoil, conducted in close collaboration with The Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters

The main objective is to determine the location, geometry, heterogeneity and inter-relationships of the major sedimentary environments within mixed carbonate-siliciclastic-evaporite depositional systems within rift climax to early post-rift basins and quantify the controls on their development. This project is fieldwork-based and focuses on the Miocene exposures of the Suez Rift, Egypt.
