DEFORMATION BANDS AS RESERVOIR HETEROGENEITY

Investigating the structure, evolution and permeability and flow effects of deformationn bands in granular rocks. We study this in sandstones (USA , France and NZ), granular carbonates (Malta) and volcaniclastics (Taiwan). Approaches are field based in combination with laboratory analysis of petrophysical properties, and  numerical modelling of reservoir fluid flow
