Seismics and CO2 sequestration

The use of seismics will be increasingly important in the characterization and evaluation of potential subsurface reservoirs for the storage of greenhouse gas CO₂, and also in the reservoir monitoring during the sequestration process and detection of possible leakage zones. The present research is a part of the UNIS CO₂ project conducted in Longyearbyen.
