Facilities available to UiB staff
The UiB Brussels Office is co-located at NOHRI (Norwegian House of Research and Innovation) with NTNU, SINTEF and NORCEs offices. Our facilities are available to UiB staff upon agreement with the UiB Brussels Office.

Office spaces
The Brussels Office has to two office spots, available to all UiB employees to utilize when working from Brussels. These office spots include everything one would need to comfortably work for a shorter or extended period of time. To inquire about use of the office spaces, do not hesitate to reach out to Charlotte Eide, the Head of Office, or contact the student interns at the office with any questions.
Our meeting rooms
The UiB Brussels Office also has two fully equipped meeting rooms available to use for meetings, seminars and events in Brussels. These two rooms, Fjord and Foss, can be combined into one large space for events that require extra room or be booked separately. To book these spaces, please reach out to Charlotte Eide, the Head of Office, or our student interns.
Fjord
Fjord, our larger meeting room, is suitable for groups up to 24 people that require desk space for each participant or 48 people in a theater set up with only chairs. The meeting room has access to the following:
- 2 large monitors
- 2 small mobile monitors
- 1 camera
- 3 handsfree microphones
- 2 ceiling microphones
- 6 speakers
- HDMI/USB- connections, Clickshare
- Wi-FI
- Up to 24 tables with USB and power outlets, but can comfortably fit 12 tables
- Up to 88 chairs, but can comfortably fit 40
Foss
Foss, our smaller meeting room, is suitable for groups up to 18 people that require desk space for each participant or 36 people in a theater set up with only chairs. The meeting room has access to the following:
- 2 movable monitors
- 1 camera
- 3 handsfree microphones
- 1 ceiling microphone
- 4 ceiling speakers
- HDMI/USB connections, Clickshare
- Wi-Fi
- Up to 24 tables with USB and power outlets, but can comfortably fit 9 tables
- Up to 88 chairs, but can comfortably fit 36
Combining the rooms
If one wishes to combine both meeting rooms into one, combining Fjord and Foss, the space is suitable for groups up to 40 people that require desk space for each participant or in a theater set up, possibly more for shorter meetings - this number is set to ensure good air quality and we are working to expand it. The meeting room has access to the following:
- 2 large monitors
- 2 small mobile monitors
- 2 cameras
- 3 handsfree microphones
- 3 ceiling microphones
- 10 speakers
- HDMI/USB-connections, Clickshare
- Wi-Fi
- 88 chairs
- 24 tables with USB and power outlets
Catering
If you want catering for the meeting / event, we can recommend:
- Jeanbon - A simpler lunch with baguettes, salads and desserts.
- Le Pain Quotidien - Offers breakfast, lunch and desserts.
- Kamilou - Offers breakfast lunch, catering for coffee breaks and finer evenets.
- El Turco - A mediterranean restaurant that also offers catering.
All of the caterers listed above offers delivery to our offices.
