Hovedinnhold

Amy Eycott has been in the EECRG since 2009. She was instrumental as a post-doc in The Matrix project where two Ugandans were awarded cotutelle doctorates jointly between Makere University and the University of Bergen. Amy has been involved in various other ecological activities and has played an immense role in inspiring students on ecology courses. She will move to Cambridge UK and will be spending time doing fieldwork in Indonesia.

Joe Chipperfield has been a post-doc with John Birks on his NoAClim project and has done a huge amount of challenging but ultimately successful modelling of the spread of forest trees in relation to climate as they occupied their present distributions in Europe during the Holocene. He will move to the Norwegian University of Life Sciences at Ås.

Both have been central to the social environment of the group. We will miss them greatly.
