Hovedinnhold

Rune Teigland, project leader at COWI, will present the topic "Introduction to energy storage during phase change” on Tuesday 19th of March

Abstract:
Latent heat storage is one of the most efficient ways of storing thermal energy. Unlike the sensible heat storage method, the latent heat storage method provides much higher storage density, with a very small temperature difference between storing and releasing heat. Material absorbs heat as it melts and releases it as it solidifies. This technology may have a big impact on the way we do heating and cooling systems in the future. The aim with this lecture is to give an introduction to this technology with practical examples.

The seminar will be held from 12:15 to 13:00 (we open the doors at 12:00), and the location will be announced shortly. It is free and open to all interested parties, so bring your lunch and join us for an interesting presentation followed by a Q&A session.
