Hovedinnhold

Yusra has her bachelor’s degree in Zoology and Ecology from the University of Khartoum, Sudan. She is now at the University in Bergen for a 2-year master program. The first year is traditionally focused on course work, but Yusra has already started to collect material for her thesis that will test if female bearded goby vary in reproductive investment depending on ambient oxygen in their natural habitat. At this stage, this involves measuring fish from frozen samples, and also to collect fresh material for histological studies during a field trip to Namibia.

This project contributes to long research collaboration with South Africa and Namibia.
