Amit har lisens som lege i Norge og nå jobber han som stipendiat ved Universitetet i Bergen. Interesse for og erfaring fra idrettsmedisin, samfunnsmedisin, immunologi, nevroplastisitet, aterosklerose, hudkreft, livmorhalskreft, reise og infeksjonsmedisin. Tidligere fullførte han en bachelorgrad i medisin og kirurgi (DMC&H, India), og tre diplomer i allmennmedisin (RCGP, UK), fotball medisin (FIFA) og rus- og avhengighetsmedisin (UBC, Canada). Han har også tatt en mastergrad i internasjonal helse (UiO, Norway) og graduate sertifikat i translational neurotechnology I (NCIL, Canada).
