Ingvild Fossgard Sandøy er professor i global folkehelse. Hun er nestleder for to sentre for fremragende forskning (SFFer): Bergen senter for etikk og prioritering (BCEPS; https://www.uib.no/en/bceps) etablert i 2023,og Senter for intervensjonsforskning på mødre- og barnehelse (CISMAC; https://www.cismac.org/), etablert i 2013. Hun er også nestleder for Development Learning Lab (DLL; https://www.devlearnlab.no/) som er et samarbeid mellom UiB, CMI og NHH/SNL.

 

Forskningsområdene hennes er global folkehelse, seksuell og reproduktiv helse i lavinntektsland, og sosial epidemiologi og forebygging.
