Jeg er interessert i å forstå hvordan den menneskelige hjernen fungerer, med bakgrunn i psykologi spesielt innen kognitiv nevrovitenskap. Forskningen min bruker ulike nevroavbildningsmetoder, inkludert EEG, fNIRS (funksjonell nær-infrarød spektroskopi) og fMRI (funksjonell magnetisk resonansavbildning). Her er noen prosjekter jeg har vært involvert i:

Prosjekt 4: Individuell hjernekartlegging
I dette prosjektet ønsker vi å kartlegge hjernens organisasjon på individnivå. For dette formålet har vi samlet inn en dyp hjerneavbildningsdatasett kalt "Bergen Breakfast Scanning Club" (BBSC) datasettet. Med denne datasettet ønsker vi å skildre den intra-individuelle variasjonen i hjernen og utforske tidsvirkningene på hjernens organisasjon.

Prosjekt 3: Naturlig Nevroavbildning
I dette prosjektet ønsker vi å utforske hjernens aktivering under realistiske eller nærlivsinnstillinger i motsetning til laboratorie- eller kontrollerte innstillinger. For dette formålet vil vi bruke naturlige stimuli som dynamiske ansikter, filmer eller naturlige innstillinger, som for eksempel hyperscanning, der flere deltakere samhandler mens deres hjerneaktivitet registreres samtidig.

Prosjekt 2: Bruk av fNIRS i kognitiv nevrovitenskap
Selv om EEG og fMRI har blitt mye brukt innen kognitiv nevrovitenskap, er bruken av fNIRS i dette feltet fortsatt på et tidlig stadium. Derfor ønsker vi å utforske potensialet til fNIRS i å håndtere spørsmål innen kognitiv nevrovitenskap.

Prosjekt 1: Kognitive utfall hos OCD-pasienter
I dette prosjektet har vi utforsket kognitive utfall hos OCD-pasienter eller personer med subkliniske OCD-symptomer. Vi har funnet at OCD-pasienter viser overdreven unngåelse av OCD-relaterte stimuli, noe som gir eksperimentell evidens for bruk av eksponeringsterapi blant OCD-pasienter.
