PhD Prosjekt: Rusførebygging i Bergen kommune
Kva gjer ein kommune for å hindre at ungdom fell utanfor samfunnet? Korleis kan ein hjelpe dei opp att når dei først har falt?
Einsemd, rusproblem, vanskar i familien og psykiske plagar trugar helsa til denne ungdommen. Folkehelselova understreka kommunen sitt ansvar for helsa til innbyggarane. For kommunen er med på å forme liva til ungdommen kvar dag gjennom ulike etatar; legen som behandlar, sosialarbeidaren som støtter og læraren som underviser. Dermed har kommunen ikkje berre eit ansvar, men unik moglegheit til å hjelpe.
I dette doktorgradsprosjektet følger eg korleis ein kommune arbeider med rusførebygging. Eg har møtt den ansvarlege politikaren, dei kommunale byråkratane og sosialarbeidaren som hjelper ungdommane. Og sist, men ikkje minst, eg har snakka med ungdommane sjølve om deira opplevingar.
