My PhD project, The Transformation of Danish-Norwegian Historiography in the Age of Revolutions, examines the transformation of Danish-Norwegian history of historiography in the period 1780-1830, through a reading of the authorships of leading historians in Denmark-Norway in the 1780-1830 period. In particular I am exploring the relationship of historywriting to historical methods and political ideas within the so-called Tacitist vein of politically motivated historiography.
