Yufeng (Jane) Tseng, Professor, National Taiwan University
Professor Yufeng (Jane) Tseng is a leading researcher in biomedical informatics and artificial intelligence for precision medicine. She is a professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at National Taiwan University, where she leads interdisciplinary research integrating machine learning, bioinformatics, and systems biology.
Her work focuses on developing computational methods to analyze large-scale biomedical data—including multi-omics datasets, clinical data, and digital phenotypes—to accelerate biomarker discovery and therapeutic development. Her team applies advanced deep learning approaches to identify disease mechanisms, discover drug targets, and develop predictive models for complex diseases.
In recent years, her research has increasingly focused on neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Parkinson’s disease and related disorders. Her group has developed innovative approaches for digital phenotyping and movement analysis, including projects such as FAsEal Parkinsonism and PathoOpenGait, as well as AI-driven approaches to identify biomarkers and therapeutic candidates.
Professor Tseng’s work bridges computer science, translational medicine, and clinical research, with the goal of enabling earlier diagnosis, improved disease monitoring, and the development of new treatments for complex diseases.
