The 50th EUCEN conference celebrated the growth and evolvement of university lifelong learning through the past decades, and looked info future opportunities in times of transition. Increasing internationalization, cultural diversity, mobility and digitalization are global trends with huge impact on individuals, work life and educational institutions.

Flexible Education Norway (FuN)
FuN organizes 40 Norwegian providers of flexible education; including independent distance education institutions, public universities and colleges, private institutions and training centers for business and industry.
The International Council for Open and Distance Education (ICDE) is the leading global membership organization for open, distance, flexible and online education, including e-learning, and draws its membership from institutions, educational authorities, commercial actors, and individuals. ICDE has consultative partner status with UNESCO. Norway has been hosting ICDE`s Permanent Secretariat since 1988.
Skills Norway is the Norwegian Agency for Lifelong Learning and belongs to the Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research. Our agency is also involved in international cooperation and we are the current national coordinator for the European Agenda for adult learning. Skills Norway also acts as the secretariat for the national council for tertiary vocational education (Nasjonalt fagskoleråd), as well as for the Nordic Network for Adult Learning (Nordisk Nätverk för Vuxnas Lärande, NVL).
